This is where we talk about the basics. Where do you want to live? Do you have ideas in mind for the home? We will talk location, inspiration, design features, needs for you and your family, and budget. We’re really going to get to know you and what you need in a home.
The right piece of land, is not just the perfect view, or where it is located on the map. It is also our knowledge of national, state, and local regulations of what you can do on that land. There’s so much to think about when assessing land, and building; light, home location, floorpans, driveways, septic systems, foundations, and basements. This is what makes us so valuable, giving you a building process without any broken hearts or dashed dreams.
The Beginning
The Planning Process
It all begins with an idea, conversation, collaboration to create the architectural drawings. Do you want a chef’s kitchen? Do you host a lot of parties or fêtes? Do you enjoy wood working in the studio? What about a pool and hot tub? How do we best utilize that view? This is where you will start to see our ideas come to life.
Then we get to work together to find the materials needed for your home, like hard wood floors, cabinetry, bricks or shingles, with another budget review, so that we can stay on track and there are no surprises.
Once the building process starts, you won’t be left in the dark. You’ll be receiving photo and text updates several times a week. We will start talking about interior design, lighting, and furniture, to go with your architecture so that everything will be cohesive and thoughtful. This is where we begin to turn your house into a home, even before you have moved in.
These houses are not just houses to us, they are our everything, until they become your everything. When everything is all complete, we will give you a walk through, show you all the tips and tricks to keep everything in pristine condition for generations to come.
After that, all that is left is to move in to your new home.
Behind the scenes, we will be getting authorization and permits for the plans, getting your lot surveyed, identifying boundaries, hiring engineers to test the soil, talking to landscape architects, structural engineers, and all the applications will be calculated and submitted.
